What's to do in your neighborhood?
 KATRINA RELIEF PROJECT - Thanksgiving is a time for sharing and your help in needed. Please donate on Saturday, November 19th and Sunday, November 20 from 10am-3pm. Two empty 28 foot trucks have been generously donated to help ease the burden on the victims of Katrina. Let's work together to fill them up! The trucks will be located at the YMCA at Glen Cove. 125 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove. 516-671-8270 x14. The following is a list of items desperately needed. Please note only NEW items can be accepted. School supplies: notebooks, crayons, arts and crafts items and backpacks; Clothing: socks, shoes, underwear, tee shirts, shorts and jeans (all sizes for men, women and children); Personal hygiene items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shaving needs, deodorant, toilet paper, powder/lotions, towels, bed sheets, alcohol wipes, baby wipes, paper plates, cups and utensils; Non-perishable foods: snack bars, canned foods, canned juices, canned milk (no dents), NO GLASS, can openers, cookies and crackers; Cleaning supplies: any types of mops, sponges, soaps, detergents and cleansers; bottled water.
